Rick Weiland is on the Warpath

Who is this man, Rick Weiland?

This is a question I’ve been pondering for quite some time.

One thing is certain though, there’s simply no doubt that Rick Weiland is a villain in South Dakota. From a conservative’s viewpoint, he has to be the single biggest villain our state has seen in past memory.

I would imagine that the vast majority of South Dakotans have no idea who Rick is, owing to the fact that most people are normies who don’t pay attention to who’s doing what around here. They can name 3 or 4 current office holders, max. Plus, I can attest to the sad state of affairs that most people, and by most I mean MOST, are highly susceptible to suggestive marketing, regardless of how truthful it is. Unfortunately, we don't come equipped with an effective BS Detector. 

This works to the advantage of shady businesses, politicians & operators like Weiland, of course. It’s a lot easier to get things done, politically-speaking, if the voters are in the dark. That’s why the name of his pro-abortion group “Dakotans for Health” is just so perfect. For folks who think of themselves as “Pro-Choice”, it helps ease their conscience of what the actual choice is by pretending that they are really supporting women’s basic health, instead of facing the brutal reality that an actual living baby human - which are the most adorable ones! - is being murdered. Yes, I said murdered.

For the uninitiated, Rick Weiland is a man who is very good at getting ballot initiatives put on ballots here in South Dakota, and very bad at getting elected to any kind of office. In fact, one could surmise that his poor record in the electoral game has fueled his passion for pulling an end-around on the whole legislative process by playing the ballot initiative game. And to his credit, he plays it very well.

Rick understands that the glory days he spent tucked under uber-politician Tom Daschle’s wing for nearly 20 years are over, and his dreams of becoming Daschle 2.0 are likely never going to come to fruition. Being called “Senator” for the rest of your life, along with the financial security that comes along with it, is a special treat that very few of us will ever get to experience. It’s as close to being royalty that Americans could ever achieve. So we can perhaps understand to a degree what drives this man in his quest to pervert our historically conservative state into something progressively grotesque and unrecognizable. 

But alas, Tom Daschle’s 49 to 51 loss to Thune precipitated a long drought - 20 years and counting - for Democrats in South Dakota. This reality has made our state a thorn in the side of the national Democrat party. One of the few states that buck the trend of progressive/transgressive dominance in every other arena that politics touches, which is basically every part of our life. Government, military, business, education, entertainment, “news” media, NGO’s, sports, social media, movies and TV. They all mimic the messaging and worldview of whatever happens to be the Current Accepted Opinions according to leading Democrats. They can’t tolerate any media outlet or influential person deviating from their messaging. To them, any free thought that digresses from the secular dogma is considered “Mis/Dis/Mal information”, and must be stamped out.

        

Christians & Abortion

 The abortion issue should be universally agreed upon as profoundly evil within the Christian community, but that is disastrously not the case. Many professing believers straddle both sides of the fence by claiming to be personally against abortion, but do support “a woman’s right to choose”. Choose what? Just be honest and say it.  This isn’t just some minor sin we’re talking about. Abortion is murder. And to make it even more barbaric, it is murder of the most innocent of humans, by the person who created them. 

But many modern Christians have been baptized into the Affirmation cult, which teaches that intolerance is man’s greatest sin. Biblical concepts such as obedience, man’s inherent depravity, repentance and God’s absolute sovereignty have been traded in for more trendy feel-goodism that fuels nearly all of popular contemporary Christian music that some refer to as “Jesus is my boyfriend”.  

This perverted version of Christianity holds one verse in the bible as undeniably Holy. 

Just one.

Matthew 7:1 “Judge not, that you be not judged”

Every other single word in the Bible is up for debate, according to the Affirmationist. But for the rest of us, who aren’t drunk on Woke koolaid, the entire Bible represents the Word of God. 

Yes, even the mean verses: Matthew 10:34---

35 so-called “faith leaders” in South Dakota have come out publicly pushing for Amendment G. Meanwhile, the bulk of “pro-life” pastors hide behind their “I don’t want to lose my tax-exempt status!” excuse for their silence on abortion. Many state that the abortion issue is “just too divisive”, which really just means that they are more scared of empty pews than they are the wrath of God. Very shortsighted!

RAPE AS A RED HERRING

Rick’s go-to move when promoting the abortion industry is to lean heavily on the rape scenario. In a recent debate with abortion industry crime fighter Rep. Jon Hansen, I couldn’t help but notice how many times Rick used the “R” word as rhetorical persuasion. It’s creepy when you think about it. Now we do know why the pro-aborts use the “R” word so much in their sales pitch. Every normal person is appalled by it, understandably. What they are doing is using a technique called “Jamming”, where they use our Christian belief in ideals such as charity, empathy, love and forgiveness to confuse us about the actual matter at hand: murdering babies.

I believe rape should be punishable by death. I wonder if Rick would agree? It seems to me there is a greater than zero percentage of would-be rapists who view the option of abortion comforting; another potential consequence they don’t have to worry about. Another way to look at it is this: Have rape crimes gone up or down since 1972, when Roe V. Wade was thrust upon our nation?

For that matter, has “unwanted children” been reduced since 1972? That was the main argument for abortion way back then.

But two wrongs don’t make a right. Rape is a heinous crime, that should not be followed by the even worse crime of murder.

Another argument/insult I’ve been hearing online by deranged lunatics is that if you are against abortion, as any normal person should be, then WHY ARE YOU AGAINST FREE LUNCH/HEALTHCARE/HOUSING/SNOWCONES/COLLEGE!?! This argument is almost too absurd to respond to. What they are doing here is holding a gun to a baby’s head and threatening to kill them if we all don’t conform to socialism.

Nice try!

In writing this post, my aim is not to demonize Rick Weiland. He is doing that to himself quite thoroughly. Somewhere on his timeline, Rick made the classic “Deal with the devil’’, wherein he was offered golden opportunities that would ultimately bring him the desires of his heart. All that he had to do for his contribution was, well, whatever furthers the cause of Satan: Chaos, Deception and Death.

If you are a modern who’s triggered by the idea of demonic influence, I would encourage you to allow yourself to be enlightened by this classic by C.S. Lewis - The Screwtape Letters

Jesus himself had to deal with actual demons on more than one occasion. According to Matthew 8:31, one poor tormented soul he miraculously saved was afflicted with 2,000 demons, which is quite a lot! I’ve got my hands full dealing with just one or two at a time. So the idea of demonic possession is not a fringe idea, even though modern Evangelicals tend to avoid the topic altogether. But if you think about it, what would Satan’s goals be when dealing with modern Americans? Well, first off, he would try to make the whole concept of the supernatural - Good vs. Evil - seem dated, unsophisticated and silly. Something past generations believed in.

But I think it’s obvious that abortion is not just another example of man’s rebellion against God; not just a convenient way to deal with an inconvenient life-changing event. 

Abortion is modern day child sacrifice. 

Much like the Mayans, Aztecs and other pagans who willfully killed their own offspring, moderns who celebrate abortion are offering their own sacrifices in exchange for something: Freedom. But the women, and men, who purchase their freedom with this abhorrent sacrifice will never be free from the guilt that never leaves, no matter how deeply buried. We must pray for these damaged souls wherever we may encounter them. We are all sinners, saved by grace, so we have no right to feel superior to anyone else who falls. Individuals must be loved, while systems and ideologies that encourage and celebrate sin must be hated and fought tooth and nail. No quarter given.

Abortion promoters and defenders always use euphemisms to sell their grisly philosophy. Words like Health, as if there is anything healthy about abortion. Concepts like Privacy, and of course, Freedom. Freedom from that terrible responsibility that has cursed you.

These are all very attractive memes, but we must be honest here. Every abortion is murder. Every single one of us were in the same stage as the so-called “fetus” that is killed in the womb. This is a simple but powerful FACT.

As I stated earlier, my intent is not to demonize Rick Weiland. He is a sinner, as are we all, and the Lord will deal with him as He does all who remain unrepentant. But we should hate the sin that Rick promotes, hate it with the heat of a thousand suns.

And we should fight to defeat this evil in our society.

If SD voters approve Amendment G, then abortion UP UNTIL BIRTH will become a constitutional right, through a gigantic loophole that was intentionally placed into this wicked bill cleverly referred to as “the health of the mother”, which any dummy knows means the “mental health” of the mother/killer. Even the wording that refers to the woman as “mother” gives the game away. How could one be a mother to something that isn’t human, with basic human rights?

Rick Weiland is just a man. He may be a nice man, loved by his family, respected by his friends. He may be a diabolical psychopath. He may be merely an ambitious swamp creature doing the bidding of dark forces hiding behind the scenes. For us, the distinction doesn’t really matter. A a tree shall be judged by its fruit (Matthew 12:23). Rick’s tree is dripping with rotten fruit.

There is no doubt that he is a cunning, brazen & effective warrior for the abortion industry. But Rick the individual is not worth our emotional energy. Harboring contempt for one man may feel satisfying, but it is a cheap contribution to make to furthering the Kingdom. In fact, anger is pointless unless it fuels action.

No, your mandate as a Christian is to DO SOMETHING about the schemes of the Evil One. First, you confront the evil in your own heart, put on the armor of God (read your Bible), then go to war.

This can be done through various means.

The easiest is to contribute money to the Life Defense Fund (Thank you Jon Hansen!), which is fighting legal battles - at this very moment! - to stop the abortion lobby.

You can also support a crisis pregnancy center, such as the

Alpha Center in Sioux Falls (Thank you Leslee Unruh!)

which provides real assistance to women who need help in facing unexpected motherhood. Support here can come in the form of both funding and volunteering of your time.

Another untapped resource in this fight is pastors. Most pastors unfortunately are too scared to join the battle. Some gentle persuasion from the flock may be necessary. Especially now that these 35 apostate “faith leaders" have so brazenly come out in favor of infanticide. THERE MUST BE A REPSONSE FROM CHRISTIAN LEADERS. We need to swamp this sacrilege with 10 times the number pastors who are brave enough to simply sign their name to a statement condemning Amendment G.

Please someone make this happen.

In conclusion, please understand that the efforts to promote and legalize unfettered abortion across the entire country has absolutely nothing to do with the proponents’ stated goals of “protecting women’s rights”. Abortion is an industry, with a huge profit motive. Planned Parenthood, the McDonald’s of baby murder, is also excited to explore the new and exploding field of permanent child mutilation, which they euphemistically call “Gender Affirmation” (there’s that word again!). By some accounts, the mutilation industry (Hospitals and Pharmaceutical companies) will make an average of $7 million dollars over the lifespan of the poor demented individuals who decide to try to reassign their body parts and hormones.

Per person! Their motives obviously have nothing to do with compassion. These industries and their con artist operators see us as Human Resources, to be exploited and used.

So gird your loins, good people, and screw your courage to the sticking place. We've got a war to fight and win.
