"The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph" - G. Washington
Winning is glorious!
All glory to God, we have been given our hearts’ desires & we give thanks for His mercy on us.
But what next, fellow Whack-a-doodle?
Many of our fellow Patriots have been fighting so long and so hard that waking up the morning after the election to the reality of such a complete and decisive victory has left us with a plethora of profound, and unexpected, emotions.
Elation, disbelief, relief, humility, confidence, gratitude, peace, suspicion…. It isn't necessarily the feelings we had after any previous political victory, the “yay, my team won!” This one hits deeper; much deeper. As if we literally dodged a meteor storm that was set to destroy Earth. After all we’ve been through since 2020 -all of it - nearly everyone I know, and certainly the Patriots who’ve been engaged in various dissident battles, has at one point or another naturally assumed that our status as the “forgotten man”- portrayed here in this 1934 painting by Maynard Dixon -was a permanent state of affairs. The system had bullied us into living with an underdog mindset, and it felt permanent.
Few of the hundreds of new friends I met in the Patriot movement were filled with optimism at the prospect of ever defeating our obviously corrupted election system and the Establishment power mongers that seemed to possess almost god-like dominance in every sphere of our modern world.
But God had other plans.
As Christians, we are commanded to give our praise to the Lord no matter what is happening in our lives, good times bad times and everything in between.
It’s easier said than done when we are going through trials, afflictions and oppression, to be sure. But it’s the easiest thing in the world to do when we all woke up Wednesday morning to what felt like an explosion of miracles raining down on us from our merciful Creator.
We acknowledge that we don’t deserve these victories, but we sure did work hard for them; as impossible as they may have seemed while we were in the midst of these “unwinnable” battles. Our enemies had racked up so many wins, gained absolute power & moved so quickly to turn our country inside out that it really felt like we were only going to be playing defense - to little effect - for the rest of our lives.
However, God had other plans.
Not only did our president win, against all kinds of unprecedented roadblocks, we won EVERYTHING. The Senate, the House, and importantly, the four most potentially catastrophic ballot measures in South Dakota were resoundingly defeated. Any one of the four - Amendments H & G, IM29 & RL21 - being rejected by SD voters deserves to be celebrated all on their own, but all four at once - and it wasn’t even close - going down in flames feels too good to be true. It’s unbelievable, even though it is entirely just and correct.
Winning, and winning and winning.
And so, for now we revel in the sweet ecstasy of victory, made even sweeter by the fear that our “Slouching towards Gomorrah” culture would never stop sliding down the slippery slopes of debauchery. We may well be shocked by the totality of victories that our Patriot “America 1st” movement has been blessed with, but we should not allow ourselves to slide back into the comfortable state of Normie, pretending that all is well once and for all.
We must press the fight with the momentum we currently have earned, eradicating the enemy from their seats of power.
Friday night offered us even more to be thankful for when the SD House and Senate elected new leadership that is dominated by Patriot warriors who have earned our trust as incorruptible lawmakers and fighters for all that is good & true. For the next two years, our legislature agenda will be directed by our allies, and this is no small thing!
But the war isn’t over.
There is still more winning yet to do.
We must now set our sights on the enemies that have infiltrated our party: the RINOs.
The gloves are off, and I believe that I speak for the vast majority of the actual conservatives- the Patriots - in SD when I state that we are done playing pattycake with the turncoats in our party. The following elected officials, commentators and so-called leaders in the SD Republican Party are hereby Blacklisted; and until such a time that they either retire from public view, or repent of their crimes against conservatism, or just come clean and change their party affiliation to DEMOCRAT, we Patriots will refuse to negotiate with them. We are done playing your games. In my experience, most of us Patriots are only involved in this enterprise called “politics” that they love and protect so earnestly because they have failed to secure our rights, and represent our interests. They made us start paying attention. They have failed to do the only thing required of them as representatives of this club we call the “Republican Party”. Adding insult to apathy, they have tolerated outright disrespectful behavior from within their own ranks, and even championed those who do so most boldly (eg Lee Schoenbeck). Not only do we now consider them all to be our ideological enemies, we actually think of them as traitors to the original American dream. Above all else, those who make this list are guilty of ignoring their constituents, favoring the powerful over the powerless, and spitting on our state and US Constitutions, which they have pledged to uphold. If they were to simply identify themselves as Democrats, then we could at least go about our business fighting an opponent to our front, without fear of being bayonetted in the back.
The RINO is an enemy from within, much like a cancer is to the body.
THE BLACKLIST
The following list has been vetted by a few trusted Patriots who collectively possess a vast amount of experience in South Dakota politics. Some of you may feel that I have missed a RINO or two, which I’ll admit is entirely possible. Feel free to leave a comment below if you see any glaring holes. However, this list is not meant to catalogue every SD Republican who we may think isn’t based/conservative enough for our liking, or who may not always vote the way we prefer. Nay, we should allow ourselves to make peace and negotiate with fellow Republicans of all flavors, and to forgive those who may have voted against our values in the past. We can certainly tolerate moderates in our party, so long as they don’t somehow capture the leadership roles. South Dakota is a Patriot state, not a RINO state.
To be Blacklisted, one must have demonstrated a consistent history of traits that frustrate and hinder the Grassroots Patriot movement; behaviors which I spell out here:
Promotes “Economic Development” (crony capitalism) ahead of individual rights
Shows contempt and/or disrespect to Patriots
Voting record that is antithetical to traditional conservative values
Ignores their constituents
THE RINOs
Lee Schoenbeck
Mary Fitzgerald
Will Mortensen
Dusty Johnson
John Wiik
Joe Kippley
Monae Johnson
John Thune
Mike Rounds
Casey Crabtree
Kristi Noem
Pat powers
David Wheeler
Joe Kirby
Walt Bones
Helene Duhamel
Brett Koennecke
David Knutson
For my fellow Patriot friends who feel that I am perhaps being “too divisive” and “not loving”, I will only attempt to defend myself by saying that I am merely stating out loud what hundreds of our allies have personally voiced to me these past 18 months. I only speak the truth of what our side knows to be the #1 problem with the Republican party in SD. RINOs have hollowed out our belief system, i.e. “Conservatism", & now wear it as a skinsuit. We must sop fantasizing that they will somehow “get the message” and get with our program. It's never gonna happen, folks. If we want to ensure that our recent victories have lasting value to our children and grandchildren, we must address the root cause of how we found ourselves being governed by people who so obviously despise our worldview.
We've won some battles - HUGE BATTLES - but the war is not over.
You’re not tired of winning yet, are you?
The swamp creatures are still among us, plotting their return.
A CHALLENGE
If I get over 1,000 reads on this post, I will pay to run an ad in the Dakota Scout publishing this list of bad actors, outing them as RINOs and declaring them persona non grata at any and all of our gatherings.
Who’s with me?
If only WE THE PEOPLE had followed Thomas Jefferson’s advice that “the price of freedom is eternal vigilance!”
We would not have needed people to be called wackadoodles in order to take back what is rightfully ours (COMMON SENSE)!
Anytime things are left unchecked for extended periods of time it takes those who are willing to be called wackadoodles, etc. to get the pendulum swinging back in the right direction! Playing nice in the sandbox got us where we were at! Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results!
The chamber of commerce crowd thinks they can just write checks and keep their money and power! They have forgotten where the money came from to write those checks and we just proved to them that that strategy no longer works! Maybe the black listers can see that we are not the minority after everything that transpired this last week and will either get on board the train or get off the tracks!!!
As for those still sitting on the sidelines on your hands who were to fearful of being labeled wackadoodles maybe the HUGE REFERENDUM made this week will motivate you to step up and help get us all across the finish line and then help prevent a small few from having to expend so much energy ever again by doing as Thomas Jefferson recommended!!!
Well written. This needs to be said. Thank you for saying it. We must keep the pressure on- the people have spoken!!!!
