This article should be on every legislator's desk on Tuesday. Thanks, for exposing truth, and the game that is being played out by this group above to oppose conservative values. It is heartbreaking to think that one of my legislators has been found in this group, but he exposed himself early with his voting. I will pray for them to have God open their eyes and ears to hear the truth and the strength to stand for the people and not the evil (best word I can come up with) that are leading our party.

Rep. Odenbach expressed to me what he thought of that cowhand snake from Ft. Pierre, thanks for your post!

What happened to transparency? What are these people protecting? Campaign donors, personal business interests, something else? Sounds like it is time for them to come clean. Also, if someone makes a point of listing a church affiliation and end up doing things that are completely out of line with what that church encourages, the person might need to get their voting in line with their belief system or find another church. No pressure one way or another, but transparency is important.

I think, in a way, the Democrats in South Dakota are at least more open and honest than the Republicans are. I've been pondering for years how desperate and lonely it must be to be a Democrat in such a predominantly Republican state as South Dakota, but at least Dems don't have much of a party apparatus these days to cower behind.

The Dems are an opponent of predictability. RINOs are a cancer inside the body.

I didn’t say anything about predictability. I just said the Dems (in South Dakota) seem to me to be somewhat more honest than the Republicans, if only because they have less to hide. As honesty goes, that’s damning with faint praise.

I wasn't disagreeing with you, just clarifying my main problem with RINOs

Sorry. I get a little touchy that way. I’m pretty solidly in the “a pox on both their houses” camp, although I think the differences between the two parties (as they exist in the State of South Dakota, anyway) are quite distinct. When one party is honest about wishing to infringe your liberties and the other isn’t, but they both do wish to infringe on them…Oh well. Here we are.

I would say that the Patriot movement is honest & transparency about our motives. The RINOs are not.

I heard the House floor debate on SB51 (10 Commandments) in person. My Senator happened to be there listening as well. After Rep. Mulder (I didn't know his name - so thank you for pointing him out) gave his little "I am a Christian but the 10 Commandments are just too high a standard to have in schools" speech, my Senator & I looked at each other and said, well, duh, that's the point - to point out the high standards that are required! I really don't understand why a pastor would say that people need Christ but then not want to make people aware of their need. The Word of God is just as powerful in a classroom as in a church building! (of course, that is what some people are scared of...)

Perhaps it has to do with this idea that "education" only takes place at the "public school"; so "Christian education" only takes place at a church. (maybe?) People are so conditioned to separate out various activities with locations....it is ridiculous!

Why does it matter where I learn math - at a kitchen table, a coffeeshop or in a million dollar school building? Why does it matter where I learn that I am not the center of the universe - in a public school classroom, the park, or a million dollar church building?

ALL Christians need a wake up call here! "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." 1 Peter 5:8

Totally agree Michelle. Modern Christians have made idols of their institutions. This was brought into clear focus during covid. The government was to be obeyed instead of God. Big Ed is revered by many Christians as a sacred cow.
